A New Chapter: Updates on My Barbering Career

As a young man saving up for school tuition, I’ve taken on two jobs to make it work. I now work five days a week at Rebellion Barbershop Keating—the finest barbershop on the Saanich Peninsula—while continuing to offer mobile barbering services on my days off. This schedule keeps me very busy, and I miss seeing my mobile clients as frequently, but in today’s economy, every bit of income matters.

My mobile barbering days continue to be incredibly meaningful. I get to meet clients where they feel most comfortable—whether that’s at home, in a hospital room, or in a space that simply works better for them. Yes, sometimes that means working around tight spaces or imperfect lighting, but at the end of the day, I’m helping someone feel clean, confident, and cared for when they might otherwise struggle to access a barbershop. That’s why I keep doing it.

Mobile haircuts are also where my barbering journey started, and many of my earliest clients have stayed with me to this day (they still receive a loyalty discount). Maintaining those relationships matters to me, so I continue offering this service to the community.
